It's more than a mark...
Our family name is ‘Hope’ and as it also encompasses so much of our back story, it was the perfect name for the shop (if a bit predictable!)…
Dad loved all things French; the country, the wine, the language. He even passed a French degree with flying colours at the age of 60! So I decided to translate ‘Hope’ into French and L’espoir Lifestyle was born. I liked the ring it had to it!
When it came to designing a logo, I immediately thought of the lovely Stacey at SLS Creative so I contacted her with the challenge of creating something personal and quite subtle, in shapes and colours that were both inviting but calm & coastal but not nautical… a pretty tall order!
But this is when it got even better…
Using cards and letters my parents had written to me, Stacey used their handwriting to create the brand name - firstly L’espoir in Dad’s and then Lifestyle in Mum’s.
Along with the colour scheme and flash of light, I absolutely loved the finished designs!
Since then, the logo has evolved and Stacey has added to the collection… I particularly love that the ‘LL’ ones encompass all aspects of my brand, from the shop in Alderney to our hashtag #lovelespoir and now, Lifestyle (through the) Letterbox!
